About me

As a beekeepers daughter, my childhood memories are full of flowers, insects and adventures to isolated places. I was lucky enough to gain an apprenticeship in gemstone setting straight out of school, which led to being self employed, setting gems professionally for New Zealand’s top jewellers for the following 18 years. This highly specialised focus has given me a keen eye for natures intricacies. My inspiration comes from the natural world around me, which is currently the wild west coast forest, rivers and seas. I live in 2 solar powered tiny homes, in the middle of a rimu, kahikatea and kamahi forest. My daily routines are well and truely based in nature, so my jewellery designs stem from this natural beauty. I only work with natural gemstones and precious metals, originating from the natural world. The tools I use are old fashioned hand held gravers, requiring skill and passion to achieve designs made with soul.
